We had an early start this morning. We paddled around Snaefellnes. In the morning wonderful coastline. And then it happened. 2 orca’s with a small one just in front of our kayaks. Marian nearly jumped out of her Nordkapp from excitement. We made a video but o promblems stays with the providers overhere. We will not give up, one day you will see it all.
We wanted to reach Rif today but we had to deal with strong headwinds and rough seas. I was very pleaced with our expedition drysuits from Kokatat The wind out of the nord was so cold but this suit protect us very well. Finally we had to go ashore just in front of Rif in a town called Hellissandur. After 45 km paddling Nice campsite with legal showers. We are probably here tomorrow as well due to the hard wind.

Jammer dat wij niet mee kunnen genieten van de orka’s, maar zaterdag gaan we naar de dierentuin. Oke geen orka’s en niet in het wild, maar wel leuk, toch?
